Here are some useful tips and tutorials about things and requirements you might encounter when joining the team.
We hope these clarify some of your doubts and help you make the final decision of joining!!
Signing up on Ideal Logic
All club sports at UCLA require members to formally join clubs through a system called Ideal Logic. Please log in using the "UCLA Logon" option. Once logged in, please refer to the top of the page and click the "Clubs" tab. On the search bar type "water ski" with a space in between the two words and sign up as a member.
USA Waterski Membership
To compete in any event or practice you must have a USA Waterski membership. This allows us to sanction practices and provide insurance to all the participants through USA Waterski. To become a member there is a $55.00 annual fee, which will allow you to practice and participate in clinics and tournaments.
To get started go to www.teamusa.org/USA-Water-Ski. Select "Menu" and then "Become a Member". Then choose either "individual Active" or "Under 25 Active", if you are 25 years old or younger. When asked for "Affiliated Clubs/Teams", type in "UCLA Water Ski Team - Los Angeles, CA". When asked if you are SafeSports trained select "I'm not sure" if you haven't heard of it and/or you don't have the training. If you have previously been SafeSports certified select "Yes". Afterwards, you will be asked about your "Sport Discipline", here make sure to select on the 1st and 2nd choice "NCW - Collegiate - Slalom, Trick, Jumping".
Follow all the other steps and pay for your annual membership.
